Storm Game Prototype

Navigate a dangerous post-apocalyptic wasteland in this first-person survival adventure. Scavenge for supplies, maintain your vehicle, and evade a relentless storm while fending off rival scavengers. Will you survive the chaos and find the utopia, or will you be consumed by the threats around you?

Our goal is to ensure this prototype is as fun as it possibly can be, before pursuing it's full development. In this prototype you will experience the core gameplay loop in its most basic form with the essential features we have developed so far.

Moves linearly forward at a slow pace​

Keeps the player moving forward in their journey, to not spend too long in one place

Sweeps up everything in its path​

Off-road Driving​​

Trails will have randomised obstacles that can block pathways, forcing the player to seek an alternate route (Currently this is only in the form of fallen trees)​

Muddy paths and bog-holes. Vehicle tyres will have very poor traction in mud so be careful not to get bogged

Vehicle Repairing

Swap out engine parts, tyres and refill essential fluids when required to keep the vehicle in running condition​

You are not exclusively bound to the vehicle you start with, vehicles found in the world can be repaired and used, or just used for parts

Scavenging​

Open buildings in abandoned settlements will have containers with essential supplies

Different types of buildings offer a different range of items

Enemy scavengers can be found lurking in the buildings​

Currently there is only basic fist melee combat with the enemies​

Currently features one enemy type, which is considered a low tier early-game melee enemy

Health Stats​

The player must maintain health, energy, and restfulness​
-
Player's maximum stamina is dictated by current energy level, maximum energy level is dictated by current restfulness, auto health regeneration requires high energy and restfulness

Energy is replenished by consuming food/beverage supplies, restfulness is replenished by sleeping in the back of a vehicle
